Course description

The basic course / PLUS is the ideal introduction to learning the sport of sailing from scratch. You practise the basic manoeuvres and experience the fascination of sailing. In line with our motto "learning by sailing", the focus of the training is on practice. You will go out on the water on the very first half-day of the course, with theory complementing practice in a meaningful way. At the end of the course, you will be able to manoeuvre a dinghy safely and independently.
If you would like to take the next step this summer and take the BFA inland course, then either the 0-100 course or the All Inclusive course are of interest to you.

No previous sailing experience necessary

Learning objectives

Independent operation of a boat, correct assessment of own skills and positive completion of the basic licence test;

Completion

The basic licence confirms that the practical and theoretical examination for the basic sailing licence has been passed. The holder of the licence is authorised to sail dinghies. Our younger basic course guests (10 and 11 years old) can complete the course with the junior basic licence exam.

Scope and price

Take along

There is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!
What you should take with you:

Comfortable and sporty clothing,
Spare clothes,
Shoes with non-slip soles that can get wet (old trainers, sneakers,... - flip flops are not suitable),
Rainwear (if available),
Sun protection.

Prices

Basic course - excluding boat hire until the end of the season - € 350,-
Basic course PLUS - including boat hire until the end of the season - € 445

Minimum number of participants: 5 people - if there are fewer participants, the courses will be shortened.

Course duration:

Weekly course: 25 hours (including free practice from Wednesday to Friday afternoon)

Weekend course: 22 hours (including free practice on the last two afternoons of the course)

3 - day special course: 17 hours

The course fee includes boat hire during the course, life jacket and oilskins.

If you would like to attend the basic course and BFA inland course in one season, then our all-inclusive course is the right course for you.

Weekly course

Course times: Monday to Friday
09:30 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 16:00

Weekend course

possible every weekend from 27 April 2024
Course times: 4 freely selectable weekend days (Saturdays and/or Sundays) during the current season
09:00 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 16:00
