Radar practice on board
Intensive training on the radar unit
Navigating in restricted visibility and collision avoidance are THE tasks par excellence where radar can be very helpful. However, this only applies if the person behind the screen has adjusted everything well and can interpret the resulting image correctly.
This is what our skipper training course Radar practice on board is all about.
In small groups of 3 to 4 people, we teach the necessary basics for understanding the technology, give tips and a lot of help for optimal image setting and evaluation.
In addition, motor and sailing manoeuvres will not be neglected and, in safe weather conditions, there will also be a night trip under radar assistance.
In addition to the training skipper, we have Captain Stefan Sadler on board, an experienced radar user with more than 5000 observation hours. This ensures that the respective team on the radar has the undivided attention of the instructor.
