You would like to attend our basic course and our BFA-Binnen course within one season - then you have found the right package!
Course description
If you choose the All Inclusive Package you can attend the basic course and the BFA-Binnen. After completing the basic course, you can also upgrade to the Plus variant at a reduced rate.

- for the basic course: no previous knowledge necessary
- for the BFA Inland course: knowledge of a basic licence holder
- for the BFA Inland course: minimum age 14 years

Aim of the courses
At the basic course:
Independent navigation of a boat, positive completion of the basic licence examination; assessment of one's own skills;
For the BFA - Binnen course:
Practical sailing skills:
sailing given courses, tacking, jibing, buoy overboard, shooting up, mooring and casting off, correct sail position and sail trim, handling the boat, nautical knots,...
Theoretical knowledge:
Boating theory, theory of sailing, law, meteorology, safety, ropes and knots,..
Completion
The basic course ends with the practical and theoretical examination for the basic sailing licence. The holder of this licence is qualified to sail dinghies.
The BFA-Binnen confirms that the practical and theoretical examination for the BFA-Binnen has been passed. The BFA-Binnen certificate of competency qualifies its holder for the independent management of sailing yachts in the inland cruising area.

Adapt the course to your personal learning pace. Take enough time to achieve your learning goals. No stress, just individualised course design with guaranteed success. On average, you can expect 4 course days. Applies to weekly as well as weekend courses and special dates. If you have chosen a course structure - e.g. the basic course as a weekend course, then the course must be completed as a weekend course.
Take along
There is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!
What you should bring:
- Comfortable and sporty clothing,
- Spare clothes,
- Shoes with non-slip soles that can get wet (old trainers, sneakers, ... - flip flops are not suitable),
- Rainwear (if available),
- Sun protection
- 2 passport photos
The price
All Inclusive Package: € 710,- This price includes both courses (basic course and BFA inland course), the basic licence script and our teaching material for the BFA inland course. The course fee includes boat hire during the course, lifejacket and oilskins.
All Inclusive Package Plus: € 830,- In addition to the above content, boat hire is included here until the end of the season.
Additional costs - optional:
Theory examination fee: € 15.-
Practical examination fee: € 20,-
Issue fee (since 8 October 2012): € 30.- (the issue takes approx. 6 weeks) - we apply for the issue of the licence from the ÖSV for you, you do not have to worry about it
Book - Peter Günzl, Sailing, the new course: € 28,- (if desired)
Spectacle strap: € 7.- (if required)

Weekly course
from 1st July 2024 every week during the summer holidays from 4 people
Course times: Monday to Friday
09:30 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 16:00
Weekend course
from 27th April 2024 every weekend from 4 persons
Course times: freely selectable weekend days (Saturday and Sunday)
09:00 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 16:00 and then theory at the BFA inland course
